We continued get togethers daily and every evening that week. The following week, Mark rebuilt our PCs, lunched with daughter Lauren and other associates, while I lunched with my sisters Mary and Alexis, one on one, and together with Annette. all the nieces, nephews and spouses (Marty, Angela, James, Michelle, Miranda), little Carson, and even my brother-in-law Jim ventured out from his own log cabin he built in the woods! It was a rustic log cabin atmosphere, with an excellent buffet, great conversation, and where we received many appreciated gifts. The next day, we reunited with the Leone family at the Blue Canyon restaurant in Twinsburg which my sister Mary coordinated, in celebration of our return home as well as my 50th and niece Angela's birthdays and Michelle's graduation. The event was extravagant, classy, very successful, and over.whew. Again, very warm welcome hugs were shared with many employees in attendance, their spouses we've grown fond of for years, and about a dozen very special customers who have been key to our AVID's progess.
AVIDA WEST 4TH OFFICE PROFESSIONAL
We rented two large Tall Ships and cruised the Cleveland area, with a BBQ dinner following, an incredible live sax band, a slide show of pics of all the employees over the 25 years, and a very unique dance performance by Julia who is a professional dancer, daughter of our co-workers Sasha and Svetlana. After over six months of intense planning and organization while still sailing/traveling, it was here.

Mark shared a special welcome lunch with Michelle and Lauren, while I met up with my sister Alexis and Annette, daughter Angela and her son Carson (a little pirate now), the morning of our event to view the Tall Ships, spend time together and help with prelim setup duties. in town for several weeks to attend their cousin's upcoming wedding. The following Saturday, Mark's daughters Michelle and Lauren returned from their homes away from home (NY and Australia), joining us for AVID's 25th. They were great get-togethers, as always have been. My sister Annette, daughter Angela and my nephew Marty's wife Tammy visited one evening, and cooked up a special welcome home dinner for us. That first week we reconnected with our very special friends, and sailing buddies MarkJ and KeithT, BobS and MarkL. We spent the next two weeks intermittently in and out of the office to ensure final plans for our 25th, Mgr reviews, recap of departmental activity and future goals, and basic work catch up. well taken care of and loved by the Admin gals. I was so pleased my cat Precious (now the AVID office cat) was looking great still. Mgrs Rick, Jim, Tony, Laura, the Admin gals Tiff, Nicole, and many others we've known for years in the CAD and Engineering department. We were greeted with a handmade, signed large welcome sign, extended lots of hugs to those we missed. It was back to work after the holiday, and very comforting to see the building was still there and in tact. Best of all, was to see how much the nieces and nephews had grown in so little time, and watch their energy. We gathered at Deb's house for a nice BBQ they hosted, and a local "home-town" parade, which the kids enjoyed.

It was great to see Mom Katharina/Helmut, Norm/Connie and kids, Deb/Marty and family. In celebration of the July 4th weekend, our first get-together was with the Sinreich family. Nice to all see those smiling faces again, and know they were still there and doing well. We revisited our frequented local Outback and Flemings restaurants the first few nights since our home was still in semi-shut down mode, and reconnected with familiar wait staff we have become well acquainted with. I even had to remind myself that we had a dishwasher. we still took military showers for several days and conserved the flow of faucet water. it felt so nice to sleep in our most comfortable bed. Thanks to KathyN who watched our place twice a month, everything was immaculate and just as we left it, minus our large indoor palm tree :(. That first weekend, we spent time settling back into our condo, unpacking, sorting through mail and just soaking up our familiar surroundings. We returned to the USA to partake in AVID's 25th Anniversary celebration, for several weeks and to reunite with our families, dear friends, and AVID co-workers.
